Economic Recovery after COVID-19
by Simon init feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.
a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.
the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.

I'll throw in another $25 to a local shelter on Trump for anyone willing to take the bet. His ratings are good, pretty much on par but much less fluctuating than Obama's or any other President, that means voters believe he is consistent (regardless which direction you stand on him).
On the other hand you have Biden, do you really think the 'security moms' and suburbia in general will want a President that stands with Antifa protesters against the police, bends the knee on television for the flag and on a better day acts like a creepy, hair-sniffing child molester?
Trump definitely has a chance of losing, but he's proven his economic skills and withstood many trials by fire. All he has to do is point at Biden and run some ads about the comparisons. The other thing Biden doesn't have is a good track record, again, another thing Trump can say: well, you had your 200 years in politics, what have you ever done?
The last problem for Biden is that he lost his only claim to 'good' records since the left wing has reversed on every one of their own policies that Biden signed (90s crime bill and forced bussing), even his current platform is talking about the middle class which the far-left has rejected has any claim to their wealth.
Biden seems like the politician that got left in the 20th century to me, I think a lot of people on both sides of the aisle think that and his VP pick will probably undermine most of what he stands for and his support base.

@oppostate: if you didn't hear, the major hydroxychloroquine studies that said it was bad (from Harvard) have been retracted.
The study in the Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine (the biggest papers) were retracted due to massive bias on behalf of the authors and influence from at least one major drug company conglomerate (hydroxychloroquine is off-patent and unlike other medicine, anyone can produce it)

Okay for the unbeliever about BLM/Antifa being a racist cult:

BLM and Antifa are working together:

BLM telling white people to leave a University diversity center:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51506733
As to your other points:
- BLM was started in response to the killing of Trayvon Martin, not sure why you are implying he had been lynched but the killing was adjudicated in court and found legitimate and acted in self-defense. Trayvon Martin was yet another criminal. Rosa Parks wasn't. Dr. Martin Luther King had more than one opportunity to build his case but at least he waited for someone that was morally impeccable to build his case around.
- KKK is considered a hate group and a terrorist organization. Unless the Ku Klux Act of 1871 was recently repealed.
- Per Wikipedia: That night was a particularly violent in St. Louis, with 4 police officers shot and 55 businesses burglarized or damaged amid the Black Lives Matter and George Floyd protests.
Unless you are going to make a no true scotsmen argument, BLM/Antifa was responsible for organizing the protests and the protestors, they are responsible for inciting violence during these protests, they are the ones that delivered bricks and t-shirts and banners. If you say showing up like this: https://d.newsweek.com/en/full/1082058/antifa-portland.jpg is planning a peaceful protest, then you're delusional.

There is indeed other footage besides the one video, longer footage from a different angle was circulated but Twitter has since deleted it.
I'm sure the police have their cruiser and body cam footage which for obvious reasons hasn't been released (doesn't fit the narrative the mayor of Minneapolis and their Antifa-supporter AG wants to create)
This will all play out in court and the cops will walk. Unlike the BLM/Antifa people that walk 24h after attempted murder, police officers have to wait for justice to grind its wheels.

How are the KKK and Nazis racist but BLM/Antifa - which has the same goals but for a different skin color - is not? BLM/Antifa is about to be considered a terrorist group for their actions. BLM/Antifa's goals are exactly the same as any other fascist group from the past. How is their phraseology: If You’re White, Pass The Mic or Blacks to the Center, Whites to the Outside not considered outright racism and segregationist? Those are official BLM/Antifa slogans uttered by official BLM/Antifa leaders during official BLM/Antifa rallies they will defend as not racist. There are videos of them forcing white people to kneel before them and ask for forgiveness - official BLM/Antifa rallies. A few years ago they segregated an entire University and kicked out all whites, Hispanics and Asians for a full day to celebrate black history.
Once you start separating yourself as superior or more worthy or more necessary of legal and societal protections, you're by definition a racist or segregationist.
If black lives matter over anything, why did BLM protesters kill a black retired police officer? 7 black people have been killed by the BLM protestors thus far, why do their lives not matter?

Obama yesterday said that "direct action and civil disobedience" is necessary when he was talking about participating in the political process, he basically said, yeah you can vote, but to make a change, you'll need to be violent too to get your way.
If you ever wondered what side he is on. The Biden/Michelle Obama presidency: throw a hissy fit if you don't get your way.

If you're a working stiff making $15/h at the end of your career, you're a fool.
$15/h minimum wage is for students and an in-between for unemployed or when you're retired and want to make some extra cash by sitting at WalMart.
Do note that if you are a billionaire, it would be very foolish to spend much of that money. Most of your money would be tied up in your businesses employing thousands or even millions of people, spending that value and converting it into cash means selling off parts of your business, which means you either devalue it or lose control over it. You may need to fire all your employees and destroy all your assets just so you can give them a one-time payment? Then what? They'll get some fancy TV's before they're all unemployed for the next decade?
Going from rich to pauper is easy, not the other way around.

@SimonSez: Blacks/African Americans only make up 12% of the population, whites make up 60%. Blacks given your own statistics commit "hate crimes" at least 2 times as much as Whites on average.

@Simonsez: You're only including mass shootings. When you look at racially charged crime statistics from the FBI, you get a different picture. Sure black people don't go on a lone wolf rampage that makes the news, but plenty of race-driven crime happens against hispanics, asians and whites. Chicago alone has enough murders in a weekend to make any rampage shooter blush. Either way, any sort of extremism is bad.
On the other hand, we all have to do what we need to do to protect ourselves. At this point, it's clear the police in left-wing cities has been told to stand down, where I live, it's slowly spreading to suburbs, businesses are looted and torched throughout the day.
The place I used to live which was on the outskirts of the city had an attempted mass shooting at a Walmart by a BLM 'protestor' (terrorist) yet our police are simply 'holding the line', nobody is reporting on this, nobody is saying that BLM and Antifa are terrorists.
I currently live relatively far outside the city (20 minutes by car), one of 'the best places to live in the US' and all day we've been hearing fire trucks and police on the main road. Tomorrow I'm going to get my first gun, a short 9mm rifle, legal, portable, collapsible and light enough for home defense. Me and my neighbors will have to hold our line when it comes to it.
